Mercy, Murcia

Teenage Fanclub played the Visor Festival, Murcia at the weekend.

No - Euros is not shrinking.

Gazpacho.

Bullfight ad.

Beer.

Didn't get her name but I think she's The Patron Saint of Sore Bunions.

Rice pudding.

Cannae remember.

Local knowledge brought us here...

...and it was splendid...

*burp*

I've been dipping in to these. Alan Bennett's one has a particularly good opening line.

I've been reading some more of John Berger's The Success And Failure Of Picasso:

Some recent drawings (try and spot Norris McWhirter).

Not Norris McWhirter.

Adios, amigos.

Easel Does It

L'esprit de l'escalier: the passing of HRH was maybe the wrong day to draw Thora Hird and post it on-line. Some folk might have added up two ends of the wrong stick and got five.

Talking of HRH I enjoyed this piece by Mary Beard. I'll check out Alan Bennett's one next.

I turned 52.  I know, I know. I don't look a day over 51.

I got an easel (voice from the back: "Oh god"), some Adam West Batman DVDs and a delicious, specially baked Black Forest Gateau.

A black forest gateau recently

I've been writing TV music for Emergency Helicopter Medics and (potential) trailer music.

Teenage Fanclub are off to Murcia shortly.

I saw Bodies Bodies Bodies and finished re-watching the third season of The League Of Gentlemen.

I've been encouraged to draw with charcoal and other media. Here come some of my recent efforts...

The Draw Art Store is fast becoming my favourite shop in Glasgow.
