Waltzing Into 2026

 It's January...

Here comes my belated review of Bob Dylan's two recent shows in Glasgow:

"Brilliant."

I *loved* the inside Number 9 live show in Edinburgh.

I *loved* this film:

(...and not solely because of Gustav's excellent turtleneck sweaters.)

Who would open a bookshop? This person.

Nice tribute to Prunella Scales here.

I like this Larkin poem, inspired by throwing an apple core at the bin and missing...

Apropos of nothing, someone asked me to name my three favourite actors. Impossible obvs. But these names came to me: Steve Buscemi, Peter Mullan and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

If, like me, you love Billy Connolly - this is a treat.

My Christmas? fine thanks:

Home Alone - tick
Home Alone 2 - tick
Elf - tick
Two Doors Down - tick
Stranger Things Season 5 - tick (which reminds me of the time I met Finn Wolfhard...)
Terry's Chocolate Orange - tick
Pannetone (re-purposed for bread & butter pudding) - tick
John Cooper Clarke memoir - tick

And on we go.

I was glad to score the forthcoming Victoria Wood movie "Becoming Victoria Wood" - screening at several UK cinemas this month.

More info here.

Here's to art...
