New Teenage Fanclub Song Shocker!

"I Left A Light On" is a new Teenage Fanclub song, written by Norman on the grand piano at the marvellous Rockfield Studios.

UK/Europe shows are go. Tickets info here.

So I emailed the Director General of the BBC the other day to ask whom I should petition for the 1981 TV production of The Little World Of Don Camillo to be released on dvd or i-player. Got a nice reply too. I am sure Giovanni Guarsechi would agree that God loves a trier.

I am writing music for a couple of projects...

I'm too late for the New Yorker caption competition but I think I would go with - "Mildred, how do you feel about working nights?"

I watched the Kenneth Brannagh Hercules Poirot films.  I enjoyed them.

Poirot's back on Death On The Nile

Overheard dialogue, Glasgow: "It's all part o' the course."

I continue to draw for fun. I have even been asked about an exhibition. Watch this space.

Meanwhile, apologies to...

...John Laurie, William Arnold Ridley, John Craven, Johnny Morris, Sally James, Richard E. Grant, Alex Norton (don't have me arrested, Alec) , Harry Secombe, Kate Bush, Johnny Beattie, Richard Briers, Frankie Howerd, James Burke, Donald Sinden, Wilem Dafoe, John Le Mesurier (not Bob Monkhouse), Michael Bentine, Ted Moult and there late, great Keith Floyd.

Tinkety-tonk. x

  1. Can I suggest for your exhibition, instead of names under or to the side of each picture, just a white board and white board pen... the exhibition would be different every day!
